Gunn took part in her first British American Drama Academy for one semester during the fall of 1988. She shared a home with Pamela Adlon after moving to Laurel Canyon Los Angeles. Gunn's performance in AMC's Drama Breaking as Skyler white is among her roles that are the most famous. Gunn was nominated to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for her performance, winning both in 2013 and 2014.
