Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor or musician as well as playback vocalist for Tamil films as well as Malayalam film. She made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has been raised in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian home. Her father is an Madras High Court lawyer. She has one younger sister who lives and works at Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah, who was born in Chennai went to National Public School. He was a graduate of Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began the classical piano at eight years old, was classified as a "geek" and aspired to become a psychiatrist until her 12th grade board exam. She sang in the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. She was a performer at her college in various productions organized through The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea was the President of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's acting career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She starred in a brand new advertisement for Leo along with actor Shiva. She was also the part of a character in the Podhigai series. Her performances have been all over India. She performed a very brief role in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the climax. She sang in a song to Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He asked her to play one of his lead female characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani as a wife and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was approached after Simran Shobana's death and Tabu. The film was released in the early part of 2010 In 2011 she agreed to play a minor supporting part in Venkat Prabhu's film with a number of stars Mankatha which was released in August of 2011. Her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in the year 2013.
